The introduction of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) by the WAP Forum has extended the reach of the Internet and non-Internet based applications to wireless devices such as PDAs and Cellular phones. BB&D identified the limitations in available WAP software, hardware and WAP Servers as well as the lack of compliance with standards as set down by the WAP Forum. As a result, BB&D embarked on the development of a suite of WAP products to address these inadequacies.
BB&D's range of WAP products are marketed under the brand name mLatitude.
